10-Step Setup

Client Setup Guide.

Follow these 10 steps to onboard a new client. From workspace creation to going live, this guide walks you through the complete setup process.

1

Create Workspace

Start by creating a workspace for your client. Each workspace provides complete data isolation -- its own contacts, events, integrations, and team members. Name it after the client or project for easy identification.

2

Add Domain

Register the domains where you will be tracking events. This ensures Vortex only processes events from authorized origins and enables branded tracking links for your campaigns.

3

Configure Traffic Sources

Define where your traffic comes from -- Meta, Google, TikTok, organic, or custom sources. This enables automatic source attribution and ensures conversion data routes to the correct ad platform.

4

Set Up Meta Pixel

Enter your Meta Pixel ID and generate a Conversions API access token. Vortex handles both browser-side pixel events and server-side CAPI postbacks with automatic deduplication.

5

Configure GA4

Add your GA4 Measurement ID and API secret. Vortex will forward conversion events through the Measurement Protocol, giving you server-side attribution that bypasses ad blockers and browser restrictions.

6

Install Tracking Script

Copy the one-line tracking script and add it to your website. The script automatically captures page views, click IDs (fbclid, gclid, ttclid), UTM parameters, and form submissions.

7

Create Tracking Links

Generate branded tracking links for your campaigns. Each link automatically appends UTM parameters, captures click IDs, and connects visitors to their eventual conversions.

8

Add Team Members

Invite your team and assign roles. Admins have full access, Editors can manage campaigns and contacts, and Viewers can see dashboards and reports. Each member gets workspace-scoped access.

9

Test Lead Flow

Submit a test lead through your funnel and verify the full data pipeline. Check that the event appears in your dashboard, quality score is assigned, and postbacks fire to Meta, GA4, and your webhook endpoints.

10

Go Live

Once everything checks out, launch your campaigns. Vortex will track, score, and deliver leads in real time. Monitor your dashboard for quality trends and let the AI Analyst surface optimization opportunities.
